AiR Småland Artist Residency
28 February – 26 May 2025
Gislaved, Sweden
From March to May 2025, I was an artist-in-residence in Gislaved, Sweden, supported by an AiR Småland grant from Region Jönköping County, in collaboration with Gislaveds Konsthall .
During my residency, I explored the relationships between water, labour, food, and everyday repetition. Through walking, cooking, making, and conversations with local residents, I followed the traces of industrial and domestic life that continue to shape the town. The project included a mobile kitchen sink carried through the landscape, sculptures made from peat and clay, and a film tracing the movement of water through Gislaved.
The project was presented as an open studio at the end of the residency and later developed into the exhibition IGEN OCH IGEN OCH IGEN (2026) and the publication Eating again and again is a quiet declaration of life.
