Ceramic artist Reico Motohara’s practice centers on the circulation of water. Small rain-boot-shaped vessels hold grasses and flowers collected from the surrounding landscape, while a large vessel capable of containing a human body is presented together with video footage of people entering it. Through these works, she reflects on the unique property of fired clay: its transformation into a material capable of holding water.
